I’m writing this subreddit because I’ve been searching the internet for the answers to no avail. i’m a part time worker at a local icecream shop in Minnesota, and i go to school fulltime. on average i get 9-20 hours a week. i’ve had this job not even a full year (i reach 1 year in February) and i’ve taken breaks to go back to my home state during the summer and during christmas. i asked and they had no problems with this, and would schedule me back to as many hours as I could take on when I returned to school. this time, however, they didn’t schedule me when I got back. Which was odd, but i waited. i now have not been scheduled to work ANY hours for 10 days, and not for the next week, insuring i’ll be without a job for 17 days since I was…
Tips for Paying off Debt
I have been at this job for 5 years. My boss pulled me in to the office and told me that he will be changing my shift to work with my manager so she can “take me under her wing”. I took this as a hint to better opportunities in the future, and I thought it was because I have been working my ass off and he was seeing that. One day I'm called down into this little office space, but not any office space, this office space that is secluded and has a heavy duty door that I found difficult to open. For context for this next part, I'm autistic, which my management knew. She says “This isn't a threat, but your email capture is only 40%, and if you can't get that higher, we're going to have…
I’m exhausted.
So who all is working on MLK Day?
First time I’ve had a “professional” job (aka desk job) that isn’t giving me MLK day off and I’m quite grumpy about it.
