Hi, due to some changes within the team the lead has left and three new guys on 15k more than me are now my juniors. They were brought in from a smaller contract where they were team members they are just older an hence have higher salaries. I am however their senior in every job related way. Unfortunately we are all the same gender so it seems I cannot claim the equal pay act to try gain a pay rise. Is there any other laws that I can use to stop me getting taken advantage of?
Combined with them adding another mandatory in office day (we were totally remote and more than productive during covid), our 2023 kickoff meetings that spanned days and could only be described as “delusional” because upper management thinks the company runs on rainbow farts and has no idea of the day to day, and they make us read books as a company and have “book club” meetings every week with the latest one being forced on us is written by a billionaire right-wing authoritarian piece of shit. Like is mad women get to vote because it makes it hard for the POS candidates he wants to win impossible type of asshole. I make okay money but once again I do the job of 3-4 people while too many people at this place barely have 2-3 hours worth of work a day and I'm sure they make either the same or more…
Only looking for info. I'm assuming it's due to either a reddit or sub reddit rule. Or possibly people don't want to be put on a blacklist as a whistle blower. Genuinely curious please don't insult me for that.
Got my final unjust write up
So it finally happened. I got the call Friday while in the office. HR and my manager were on this call. The stuff on the write up seemed like half nitpicky bullshit. One thing that was on there was that a coworker believes I call off more than anyone else on the team. (I used FMLA days.) It also said they think I was trying to get out of work due to calling helpdesk when certain work applications were not working. Something I was told would not be on a write up due to it being a small mistake was on there as well. I also got told my “productive” utilization was low in November and December due to not having jobs on a lot of my shifts to do. Fuck this company. I had an episode on the phone Friday and almost walked into traffic. All I got offered…
At a job where I actually like the management. All (but 1) I think are very sweet and kind individuals. I just wish to leave retail to pursue other options, and go back to just 1 job at my other job now that I don't need the extra income. Out of respect to them, I want to give a 2 weeks notice first, but how would one actually go through with that?
