Yup! Worked for my job almost 2 years I was a poor slug, but it became abusive, I learned about the higher ups covering up a sexual assault conducted by their family member and against a worker who has ASD ,,,, I’ve been moved around a lot because the stress from me uncovering that resulted in me being suicidal last year, I’ve worked all this year without issue until finding out a manager who let the teen employees run off others and was allegedly smoking with them, one of the teens assaulted me but was fired for another reason, and then this manager threatened me with physical violence in front of the store managers, it resulted in her being moved, I got two write ups and demoted , it was blamed on me which is what one of the write ups is for and then behavior that resulted in the…

I got a job at my college last month that doesn’t pay very much but would just give me some extra pocket money and something to do at night and on the weekends. because it’s at a college they have weird procedures that I’m not used to about setting up your employment thing, making a direct deposit, and entering the hours you worked in the work database even with having to clock in and clock out while you’re at work. I couldn’t get an appointment to set up my I-9 thing until a week or so after I started training because I didn’t have my social security card, which was at home (I live in a different state than I go to school in), and when I got it I did the appointment but even then it took a couple weeks to get my employee database thing set up. and…
Employment pay help (NZ)
Hi all. Throwaway account as don't want identified yet. I'm after some legal advice over a role change. I'll explain as much as I can without giving too much away hopefully. The NZ company I'm with is going through a restructure started at the beginning of this year. As it started HR communicated out that due to cost of living an immediate 2% would be added to wages with further remuneration updates 2-3 months later, with some roles getting backpay (all good so far). The restructure is still on going and so is the remuneration issue 7 months later. During this period our roles were assessed and pay was to be brought in line with market pay. My former boss had recommended me for the top of the band. Also during this time a new role appeared within the same company which interested me in another team. So I applied…
I applied for a veterinary tech position in my area. this was the response I received BEFORE being able to schedule an interview. I have ~6Yrs in the field and am very qualified for this position. I'm tempted to answer the questions and ask the same in return… wtf? What makes your work (job) meaningful? Why do you want to work in the veterinary field? Describe your perfect work environment? What are your career goals? How do you work with others? And independently? What should be my expectations for you? What are your expectations of me? Give an example of a time when you have gone above and beyond to help a client or co-worker? What attributes would you bring to Hanford Veterinary Hospital that will help the hospital grow and be successful?
Finally happening
I got offered a job with a pension, 401k with match, plenty of PTO and a 25k raise! After working in unskilled labor with multiple MONTHS of OT in a year still not even close to what I will be making in my next job sitting at a desk answering calls and emails. Feels good bro!
TL;DR: Sales guy is getting too much money for a job he only does 10% of. Coworker and I are pissed and acting our wage. I just started at this job about 3 months ago. I have already noticed that the sales man, we'll call him SM, gets 7% commission for the jobs we do. To put that into perspective, we did a large job that equaled out to around 67k, he made almost 5k off of that job alone. My coworker did 90% of the paperwork, phone calls, and everything else. The only thing SM did was sell the job, easily because it was needed, and visit the area of the job to make sure we could do what we promised. The icing on the cake was the manager asking my coworker to do paperwork for a program for the SM to earn EVEN MORE MONEY! Almost 1.5k more.…
telework help-is this allowed?
Hello everyone, I live in Texas and recently was hired for a 100% Telework position (it is noted as 100% in the work application). Well recently management scheduled a mandatory in person meeting at our HQ, which is 6 hours away from me and others. Management rely just because a position is telework that doesn't mean we don't have to attend required meetings and “reminded” us that they could revoke telework at any time. Is this allowed as the work application states 100% telework and the hiring manager had relayed to me that the plan was to remain completely virtual when I was hired?
I was fired and banned from Busch Gardens (a popular amusement park owned by sea world) at age 16 for accepting a 2 dollar tip. I was a face painter/henna artist. I came back from my lunch break and there was a customer already waiting for me at the stand. I quickly threw my lunch bag down and got to work. The women was very insistent that I accept her tip because she was so happy with my work, even after I told her we’re not supposed to accept tips. Eventually, I agreed and took the 2 dollar tip, placing it beside the register and out of view like MY BOSS HAD DONE BEFORE. I was told if you have to take a tip, do it discretely, by my manager. An hour later, about five cops approached my stand, hand on hip ready to withdraw their weapons, and told me…
I agreed to close and I don’t want to
Idk how to get out of it. I got out of it before by using a dinner that didn't exist as an excuse but it ended up working out bc one of the other employees was able to stay. What do I do? I was guilted into it. She told me “you barely work anyway! [Bc if I work any more days than I am, my severe mental illness will kill me] You have tomorrow off too!” Like I am so mad I agreed. I said she convinced me but then I was like, well if no one else can close, I will. But I don't think she's gonna ask anyone else :// I love her to death but I do not wanna close. I'm already not on my extended release ADHD medicine so this whole day is killing me.
