Hello, I'm currently employed at my job for a little over a year now. This is my first job. I used to like it a lot until I realized that my boss is terrible, everyone's faking being so happy and loving being in a “family”. I never thought I'd cringe so hard at that word when it was used for a job until I've had to write about how great my company is over and over while our boss mistreats us and I have to handle the work of 2 people within a month of joining. I used to cry every morning before work, but now I literally don't care anymore. I don't know if this is really burn out because I can still finish my requirements and do things quickly, and I can still manage to socialize when needed. But boy do I NOT care anymore. I've seen AI as a game changer for everyone, and I believe it might be a game changer for our e-commerce stores and online businesses as well, since it could help reduce our burden as well as help us make sales. So what are your thoughts? Is it something you should add to your business?

I’m a construction worker. I work in the summer and get laid off in the winter due to the weather. My employer doesn’t give paid time off or unpaid time off. I requested a week off (which would be unpaid as the company doesn’t provide paid time off). It’s the only week I’ve requested off during the season, and my boss is giving me shit because I was out 2 days a few months ago sick, which was covered by my sick days. This makes me unreliable and I gotta get my shit together.

When I was 16 I was working at a store with 4 other people during my shift. These guys were super cool and we all got along and work was enjoyable. We were never overworked,we always got out on time and the manager was always super chill and was never an asshole if we made a mistake. I genuinely think that job was a 10/10 and thought that working conditions like these were basically 1 in a million with how good they were. Well a few months in we got a new employee who was an asshole from day one. He always complained to me that I was bad at my job and I cant do anything right. That’s it, that’s the post. I work as a senior claims adjuster for a major insurance company. People have been quitting left and right and a LOT of extra work has fallen to me. I’m getting higher claim intake than ever, I had the day off Friday and came into 4 new claims and 87 emails this morning on top of so many other things. I’ve already broke down crying this morning I don’t want to do this anymore but I can’t afford to make less than approx 60k a year and I don’t know how else I’d make that :,( i make closer to 80k currently

28m, London, UK. Been applying to thousands (yes thousands of jobs) with not a single job offer yet after so many years and to say I’m fed up is an understatement. I’ve only managed to secure temporary 3 month contracts here and there which isn’t even enough to survive on. I have a few years of accounting & finance experience from all the years of temp contract roles but still haven’t been able to get anything in accounting. I’ve even applied to other random fields and entry level jobs and can’t get anything at all either. My job is fully remote. I use the company laptop to access the work tools and softwares . We also required to use a VPN software that is already installed in the laptop. The company policy allows working remotely only from within the country not from abroad. I need to travel for some few months to back home for some family issues (my dad health) not for FUN and i do NOT want to lose my job. Having said that, is there anyway i can connect my laptop from a network abroad and not get caught? I know that people use VPN tool to connect to the county server but then i cant download the VPN app in the company laptop
