My company only has certain states approved for their work from home employees. I’m moving to a state that is not included in this and I was wondering if I could technically get away with this while using a different address? A coworker of mine has said I can use her address and say we moved in together and she’ll forward me everything. The one issue I can see is medical insurance as I’d be getting bills from the state I live in. Is there anything else I haven’t thought about? Am I naïve in thinking I could do this?
i work in a clothes shop in my city's only mall (uk), its the most popular store in the mall so it's busy like 95% of the time & it's ridiculous on weekends & over the holidays. fortunately im part time so i only work 3 days a week, im contracted to 4 hour shifts but i'll do 7/8 hour shifts if i can get them (their overtime availability is stupid but thats another story lol). when i work weekdays i finish when the store closes, on my one weekend shift i finish in the afternoon. when i first started (over a year ago) the managers told us they could legally keep us for 15 minutes if there are still customers in the store, which there always is bcs customers dont seem to understand what “we're closed” means. i rely on public transportation, so i have to set off 2…
Confidence is eroded
I don't know if this is the right place, but I just learned recently that I'm on the autistic spectrum (I'm 30sF) and I've learned that a lot of the feelings I have at work thst I thought were stress are actually me feeling overwhelmed. I really like my job for the most part, but management is very much the kind that never tell you about the 100 things you do well, they just tell you about the 1 thing you do wrong In the time I've been there, my confidence has eroded. I make a choice or decision and if it's right I hear nothing, if it's wrong I get a strongly worded message from my boss along the lines of 'I don't understand why you did that'. What I want to know is… how do I not care so much? How do I just let the criticism roll…
So yeah, as title says… I worked in this restaurant since the 2nd week of September 2022 and quit in August after finding out that the owners of the restaurant were pocketing half of all tips collected. We were a shared tips restaurant which is fair in my opinion and everyone is happy. I just, don't know what to do? I have a coworker who also had a peak at the computer where they do all their tip sheets and saw for herself as well, although she's staying because they're like “you can't quit we would have to close.” A whole year guys… I live in Canada and I don't have any proof of this happening. Nor does my coworker. I want that money back, I want what is owed but I don't have any documentation it was just like… they trusted me they lifted me up they said nothing…
How do i avoid working a dead end job
employees are better managers
than actual managers who get paid to repeat information and be pissy all day while simultaneously working the least out of anyone . working my 1st real job and it is SO unorganized, I'm resisting the urge to take on extra responsibility just so it can be functional cuz I don't get paid to make their shop better than it is I wish it wasn't all about profit.
I’m looking for advice! Things to note before I get going: I consider myself a good worker, a hard worker(I know, how humble of me) The people I work with are great My management is an absolute train wreck It has been 15 months of me working as a sales agent for a company that has paid wildly below the cost of living. And quite frankly, I’m done struggling just to see our “numbers” keep growing, but my personal debt keeps adding up. Our fiscal year just restarted and so did my PTO, which is given out as a lump sum, not accrued throughout the year. Long story short, I’m actively searching for a new job, the holidays are fast approaching, and I have 4.5 weeks of vacation time left. How do I get crafty about burning 4.5 weeks of vacation without my hardass manager finding out that it’s actually…
Saw a 50/50 poll where they ask people if they would rather work 5 days a week 8 hours a day at $29 or 4 days a week 10 hours a day at $25.25. What would you pick?
