I live in Arizona. As my understanding goes paid sick leave here is a right to employees of a company that makes at least $500k a year.
I used my paid sick leave early July. When I returned I was met with disciplinary action. Since PSL is a right employers are prohibited from retaliating against those who choose to use it.
I was going to call their bluff to terminate me soon for using more PSL again but 7/23 my supervisor for the day swapped a $50 bill with a $5 bill in my till and it set me off. Had to report it asap. Two of my managers are now going to be under investigation.
Was a great place to work. Now unhappy but will stay as long as I can because poverty. Will update. Contingency lawyers are likely a no go unfortunately. I know the rule of don't go through hr but see above :/
