So about 2 weeks ago I got pulled aside for a management position and was told they’re pretty confident I’d be promoted/moved into the role. The only catch they had to talk to the underperforming employee.
Fast forward 2 weeks later I haven’t heard anything other than we will talk more about it. But I see the other person still trying to fulfill the management tasks. So I am guessing I haven’t gotten the promotion/title change. And all the extra work/input/QOL changes have been for naught.
Oh well. Guess an underperforming/absent employee is best sometimes.
