I got hired 10/10 at a nursing home, during my orientation I did not sign the “pay rate form” because it didn’t have an amount/ rate. But the employee in charge of my orientation asked me to sign it. So I did.
I asked the administrator assistant and she never replied with the pay rate.
Is that against the law? Can I just quit for that reason?
They were supposed to provide with paid CNA classes at the end of October but the classes got changed to Jan ‘23. I signed a 12 month contract to work for them after the classes.
But I’m not getting a good feeling about this nursing home. On my first day of training, an attorney called and asked to speak to I dunno who, because his client hasn’t got paid! So…. Rumors are they don’t pay their employees.
And one coworker told me she didn’t get paid until after her first month, why?
This is in California. I guess I’m just trying to figure out if I can just quit.
