People at work are so fake…

I know you aren't supposed to make “friends” at work, but we are supposed to spend maybe 8 hours a day surrounded by tired miserable strangers that all hate being there too. I absolutely hate, hate “office politics” and just everything about work in general. You let your guard down a bit maybe, and feel a connection to someone at work and enjoy their company and start to like them, only for them to throw you somehow under the bus or tell on you to your boss if the slightest problem ever comes up. And I am not bad at my job at all, am just a maid in a minimum wage job like all of them, it is not like we are fighting for promotions or something. There is no solidarity at all, and people are nice to you and such, but as soon as someone can't work as fast or such they immediately turn on them. It's sickening to see. A person I knew had extreme depression started to “get worse” at work and they immediately got worse treatment and I absolutely despise this. I hate that I am expected to spend so much time with these people who don't care about me at all as a person, beyond how fast I can work. It's so fake fake fake.
