I just started this new job at a locally owned company, and today I met one of my co-workers for the 1st time at shift change. We were alone at first, and he was showing me work procedures and how he does them, and all the while he was showing me stuff at the computer, he would continuously poke my upper arm pretty hard with his finger to “get his point across” with what he was showing me (no pun intended). Not only that, he would come in super close to my face with his face, and talk super loud at me. When I went to press a button on a radio call, he forcefully swatted my hand away from the button and took over. I was starting to get super annoyed by his forceful actions towards me, I was cornered by the desk and his chair, so I rolled my chair back away from him and angrily asked him to stop poking me with his finger. He had this look of shear “HOW DARE YOU CONFRONT ME!” on his face for telling him this, and he quickly gathered up all his stuff and promptly left the office in a fit of rage. WTF????????????????? The owner finally got to the office, and told him what just happened, and he actually said that this guy “was stressed” and “that he shouldn't of done that.” WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????????????????? No mention about saying he'll talk to him about his behaviour or nothing. I don't know what to do here, and wondering if I should quit. I just got this PT job last Tuesday! ffs!
