Please Help me Quit my Job

Hello! I need some serious pep talk to get me to quit my job. The lead on my project recently resigned and he maintains SO MUCH of the planning of our projects. Basically without him, I’m the next obvious choice in taking over his work and stepping up as the lead. Now I have already been planning on resigning because our work is so stressful, we travel way too much, and we’re under staffed. I had let my manager know of my issues and they responded well and are actively trying to hire new people, but it’s far too late. The training takes way too long and I’m mentally exhausted at this point. I’m paid pretty well but it’s really not worth the stress. My issue now is how do I quit without an insane amount of guilt I’m putting on the rest of my team? I love my team…

I love my team and my coworkers which is why this is so hard for me. Even when I go through the logic of “well I could die tomorrow and they would be fine” it’s not really helping. Why is this so hard? Why do I feel so loyal to a company that created such a stressful work environment in the first place?

I need to resign ASAP but ya girl is struggling. Any advice?
