I work for a large textiles company and my position is being outsourced, so I am obviously looking for new positions. I am offered a severance package but it isn’t clear if I receive the package if I leave to accept a new position before my official end date with my current company. I reached out to HR and was given the response “there isn’t an answer for this, it is done on a case by case basis and several factors are reviewed”. Regardless of WHY I am leaving, I am leaving due to the fact that the current company is terminating my position and would not be leaving otherwise. Anyone have an experience like this?
