I work at a retail entertainment place in the mall, in NY since that context is key. Basically my boss only has one person on shift at a time.
That context is also important, since i usually work six hours in new york i deserve at least one break, at this job we usually get a 30 minute break.
All of a sudden we aren't allowed a real lunch break or in my case just a 30 minute break, since this is my second job i eat lunch before i clock in.
She claims she made this clear but this is something new as of Yesterday. I didn't work yesterday and in the group chat she only mentions specifically for a lunch break.
So since we're always only scheduled one person per shift, how is this legal or fair?
