I’m bloody good at my job. I’ve just been promoted to manager level in a specialist role – I’m the only one able to do this job in a 1,000+ person company.
But salary was only discussed after they gave me the promotion. I work part-time so the actual increase I’ve been offered for this new responsibility is £100/month. I’ve tried negotiating and been totally shut down.
I’m applying for new jobs that offer 30-100% more than I’m currently paid. I’ve got an interview next week. But I’ve got to keep going to my job now for however many months until I get a new one.
