PSA- End of Year do you know your PTO status?

As year draws to close check your PTO status and policies and make sure you don't lose pay because you didn't use PTO. This part of your pay package, and if you don't use it you lose money. See how much you've used, check policy for any rollover amount, if you are in a state that separates protected pay versus standard PTO – (40 hours of PTO is protected from write ups, can't get fired etc). Then based on what you see, take your sick days/PTO until you are at the rollover amount or used it up. Every year we get people who don't use sick/PTO time and they lose money/PTO because they didn't plan ahead.
