So far my job this is my employers second strike before I start job hunting.
I was in the middle of my shift and our shift coordinator politely says to me “Hey, the nursing coordinator says you forgot to log in a 15 minute round around this time.”
15 minute check-in rounds are of course done by staff every 15 minutes. This way we can assure they patients are safe and sound. So with the info we had, we had looked in it together and sure enough the round wasn’t there. But when I looked deeper into it I noticed that this patient wasn’t assigned even assigned to me.
It was assigned to my partner on the floor who dozes off constantly, no matter who is there.
I wasn’t going to take blame for something that I didn’t do. And I showed the shift coordinator who was just as puzzled as me. She told me to log it in anyway, which I shouldn’t have. I take this as personal because it’s not difficult to see which patient is assigned to who.
