In case it’s relevant, I’m in NC. I’m experiencing workers comp currently and occasionally need to take a day off to regain my strength. I’d rather not go into details, but I’ll explain to an extent. I want to keep my job long term (I just started a month ago) and I’m happy with my pay. Im not concerned about getting paid for off time, I don’t need it. Im not sure if they have to pay me when I take these off days, that I call out for. I don’t want them to have to pay me bc I want to keep my job, and I just started so you know, impressions and such. Do they have to pay me when I take a day off for my pain or healing?
