My daughter – professional, 27, is interviewing and verifying employment for a company, and they’re using a third party to do the work. After asking for her ssn (to do a credit check) they now want her W2 from current employer. This seems really excessive – she asked me and I told her to decline. Thoughts? Is this weird?
Edit for clarification- the role is a step up for her, from a lab tech 3 to 4 – role is in biotech as is the role she’s leaving. So it’s not like it’s handling money or classified info.
