Why do employers think threatening to fire you over the stupidest things is going to make you work harder and be more loyal to a company? You've basically told me that I'm not that valuable and you can replace me…so what makes them think I can't replace this job.
So I've recently been on maternity leave. My managers were very chill before I left. I did my job, no problems and went home. I'm a full time employee and they let me work 4 days cause of my pregnancy and my job is physical. I've come back to a shit show. A new manager (who I was friends with before this) and lots of bs to go with it. I have a 5 month old at home and a husband who has to watch him as we don't have anyone else to watch him. I wore a dress with thin straps and forgot my cover up at home. First threat of being fired. Like what. The instant you tell me you could fire me over something so stupid I mentally check out. I've been back 4 weeks I took 1 sick day and I got red flagged for leaving early to a doctor's appointment I told them I really had to go to. They wouldn't even accept a sick note from my doctor. So second threat. Your reliability is in the red zone. Which may I add it's been way lower and I built it back up. I asked why now are you threatening me when not one person said anything before. If you don't respect your employees why should they respect the job. I'm here to get paid only. Maybe if they had some compassion and understanding I wouldn't feel this way. Anyway I've already got a second interview at a very high paying job and I'm just thankful them being A holes has pushed me to look elsewhere. Wish me look so I can tell them to kiss my a** goodbye.
