My boss is an egomaniac and manipulative arse who loves to nitpick at every single email I sent and thrives in office politics.
He tasked me with a secret mission to make a note and forward every single email that my co-worker has made a mistake or displayed any knowledge gaps. This is to help him justify why my co-worker shouldn’t be in this company anymore.
After sending out an email today, he told me that he didn’t understand anything I wrote. He doesn’t know what he’s suppose to do or interpret the information. He even told me “come on, be more mature”.
He wants me to conform to the way he thinks, writes, feels and interprets information. He’s unable to accept that others can be correct too.
With a team so lean, my boss should’ve treated me better. Instead when a co-worker resigned, my boss decided to not proceed with a replacement and I should absorb the workload for “exposure” and “experience”. This made him look like the golden boy in the eyes of upper management as it’s a cost reduction scheme.
I’m handing my resignation letter on Friday. Though I’m resigning without a job, I could not wait to see the house of cards burn.
The only sad part – I have a 3 months notice period.
