Extremely toxic workplace that I need out of ASAP + have a new job starting soon. I don’t want my boss to know where I’m going or why I’m quitting. I’m struggling though because she’s a grand POS (contacting me on vacation about an issue that had nothing to do with me, asking staff to do illegal things, zero involvement, no training, no communication, no follow through and just flat out rude.) She cut my hours by more than half and I feel like she’s trying to push me out by attrition. I have never just quit a job without two weeks notice but now I’m in a position that I have to. My plan is to do it after my first shift next week but I’m not sure how to go about actually do it! She’s a manipulative person with narc tendencies so I don’t know if it’s worth even voicing my opinions. Thinking it’s just best to go without much fanfare. Do I write an email after my shift or schedule a meeting with her? I don’t need her as a reference and would like as little drama and conversation as possible while trying to be as professional as possible. Any advice is very welcomed!!!
