So I put in my two week notice because the work environment was so ass backwards that I just couldn’t manage to stay any longer. After putting in my notice, my boss asked me what he currently pays me (yes, the man who does payroll didn’t know what he paid me) and when I told him his response was “yea. You’re underpaid. I’m bumping you up to $60k for your last week”
Just remember friends: even if you boss tells you “good job” everyday, they will still underpay you and under appreciate you. Do the bare minimum. Take the days off. They don’t care about you, they care about themselves. I was their best employee and also their lowest paid.
And remember anyone who’s a boss: if you have an employee that you don’t want to lose, fucking pay them what they’re worth, or you will lose them and your company will suffer because of it.
