I’ve been working at my corporate retail store for about 2 years now. I was harassed ‘physically’ by my manager this last March and asked to move to a different location in town. Come to find out I was not the only employee to be harassed by him either. I haven’t said anything about my harassment to anyone besides the people I feel comfortable with outside of work, but it seems to be spreading like wildfire from my old manager and co-worker with false information. Come to find out, he would’ve been fired, but one of my old co-workers went to corporate and lied to them about what happened, saying it was verbal and not physical and I was just a over-sensitive. I never labeled this co-worker as a witness, I never told her what was going on and her and my manager are friends outside of work (I am guessing they talked even though it was supposed to be anonymous) There is also video evidence of what happened. I want to quit because I feel like I am not being stood up for at all with this company, and I feel like they just stuffed me away at a different store to rid of me and hide everything. I genuinely feel very let down, and this was a BIG thing for me to overcome. I don’t know how to go about it, I love my job but refuse to work for a company that doesn’t stick up for their employees.
Edit: I also am not aiming to try and get him fired, I just wish they would’ve taken it more seriously.
