Rant: Roster not honouring my contract

Hi i have a big ongoing headache regarding my roster/management. For some background I work at one of the biggest retail chains in the country and I recently (a month ago) had my contract changed from casual to permanent part time. I am also currently getting paid the permanent hourly rate and not the casual rate for the record. For example, this upcoming week I've been rostered on for 45 hours of work over the week, six days a week with the week after that being 37 hours, five days a week. Surely this shouldnt be allowed? I thought employers had to abide by employee…

Hi i have a big ongoing headache regarding my roster/management.

For some background I work at one of the biggest retail chains in the country and I recently (a month ago) had my contract changed from casual to permanent part time. I am also currently getting paid the permanent hourly rate and not the casual rate for the record.

The issue however is that when I consented to the contract change it was under the agreement that I would only be working 20hours per week (due to difficult/stressful family circumstances at the moment) but I keep getting rostered on for waaaay more than that. For example, this upcoming week I've been rostered on for 45 hours of work over the week, six days a week with the week after that being 37 hours, five days a week.

Surely this shouldnt be allowed? I thought employers had to abide by employee contracts? Me and my manager dont get along to say the least, so I dont really look forward to speaking with him about the issue. The situation just frustrates me so much rn that i wanna quit.
