Background: Known her for +5 years since I started working. Haven’t really worked with her directly but I would see her everyday because we were desk neighbors. I have talked with her but never take her to a coffee or anything. I’d kiss her on the cheek when I saw her as it’s a custom greeting where I live. It was pretty exciting to me doing that, ngl. But I was pretty distant because there was already an asshole hitting on her before I arrived.
After some time, she left the company and moved to another next to mine. I really miss seeing her. Before she left, I went ahead and asked her number, and she gave it to me.
I would chat occasionally with her, but conversations were pretty one sided. She basically only responded to me, and has never actually say hi to me or anything randomly. But once I started a conversation about anything she was interested in she would write paragraphs about it. She’s pretty much the embodiment of the women️ meme, and it’s annoying.
However, I can’t stop thinking about her. Should I just ask to go to lunch sometime, randomly during work? I have nothing to lose I guess. There would be no awkward things or anything because she doesn’t work here anymore.
