Red Flags At New Job

Throwaway because I get the vibe some of my new coworkers use reddit. Started a new job today and the whole day felt like a great story one day. Started a new job today and the whole day felt like a great story one day.

I do not have a desk, I do not have a chair, my work laptop was being used by the bosses kid for their class online this morning, the owner wouldn't introduce themselves to me and still won't really address me. The lady who has been guiding me through this process told me “I don't really know what they want you to do..” which is problematic since the owner doesn't address me. Got asked, “what time do you plan on working until today?” I said the full day, as I did in the interview. They expect me to use my personal phone for work purposes with no stipend and without my consent, since it is now in my email signature. I worked in a 1 sqft space, in a broken chair that is stuck leaning forward, with a broken printer on the desk, a broken computer on the desk, and a saw blade on the desk.

I really can't make this shit up. I'm calling it my layover job.
