In February I was told that I was being made redundant as my office was closing. My end date is this month despite flagging up that my activities are directly relevant to some contractual requirements they've not been handed over to anyone yet. A month ago I spelled it out in as plain language as I could the impact of this work not been picked up. This appeared to finally sink in as suddenly they realised that they could be in trouble in multiple areas if someone doesn't pick up the work.
They have offered to move me to another team (if I pass the interview) with the same pay, but I'd have to travel nine hours a week. As I am currently working from home and the redundancy package is too good to say no to, I declined the offer.
Two weeks later they came back with a new offer. A three month extension to my redundancy date and same pay, 9 hours travel, interview for the job etc. As this was the same offer I gave them the same reply.
With 10 working days before I leave the one bit of work that I had managed to handover (before being made redundant) has been given back to me and now expect me to do another handover to some other people (but not the people that would be doing the final work probably).
And they want me to do some financial audit prep work so they can pass an external audit in September.
I don't want to f**k people over but this is so beyond taking the piss.
I might have a two week migraine.
