I’m a technical designer, and in my dept there are those who are seniors, I’m a junior alongside 2 other juniors. But I’m starting to do the advanced work of seniors, and have been doing so for a few months now.
I think management have noticed I’m pulling away from the other juniors in terms of skill as they’re now saying they wont give me a raise until all of us are at the same level of ability..
Is it just me or is that a bit like communism? An approach like that would just hinder the drive to excel
