When I worked at a grocery store as a teen, the policy was that if you worked 6 hours that day you were permitted 15 minute break at any time (other than your usual 30 minute lunch). That 15 minutes was heaven for someone who’s job it was to stand around in the same spot for an entire shift and bag groceries. It was time where you could finally sit down.
Anyway, these assholes would schedule me 5 hours and 45 minutes. On purpose. Just so I couldn’t get that slice of 15 minutes in to rest my feet.
