So I am the routine Saturday morning person, but I barely request off (I have over 100hrs of PTO saved up). I requested off the next 3 Saturdays (so just 1 extra day off for just 3 weeks)
Supervisor did approve it but he told me I’m messing up rotation and he also said I’m being inconsiderate/unfair to this one girl who he scheduled to cover all 3 days. And that I’m violating the schedule I agreed to
First of all it’s only 3 days I work maybe not all 52 but damn near close to it all year. Also this particular coworker only typically works one a month while everyone else does every other so her doing a few sounds fair to me. Lastly, there are other people who work here available another coworker literally wants to work Saturdays so blame who made the schedule.
Man also said in the future maybe I should run it by coworkers if it’s ok to take off a weekend cause I’m “burning them out”. Stfu that’s not how PTO works, I put it in weeks ago you approved, he and the boss need to find someone to schedule-not my responsibility.
Frustrating he’s trying to guilt trip me for taking a few days off and act like I’m not burnt of working every weekend but feels bad one person who typically gets a cushy M-F is temporarily covering 3 days
