Response to the dumb post about blue-collar work that has been locked away

This is the post People don't dislike that kind of work if it's decent. Many enjoy it. There are lots of places where those lines of work are decent, respectable and can provide for you and your family. The issue here is that people think that they are supposed to earn more than those who provide those so-called less desirable, essential services. This mentality dates back to the days slavery, ethnic massacre and land theft that gave birth to capitalism. They are only crappy jobs if the employers: Don't provide the appropriate equipment and work conditions Working days/hours are too much They don't pay you the actual minimum wage, which is: enough to support a family and buy/build a house. If those problems are addressed, there are few professions I can think of that nobody would want to do.

They are only crappy jobs if the employers:

  1. Don't provide the appropriate equipment and work conditions
  2. Working days/hours are too much
  3. They don't pay you the actual minimum wage, which is: enough to support a family and buy/build a house.

If those problems are addressed, there are few professions I can think of that nobody would want to do.
