I feel much disappointed because of the ridiculous 1.4% raise accompanying my promotion from manager to senior manager at a financial consultancy firm (not big4) this month.
How would you handle such a situation?
Do you think discussing it frankly with the firm’s Partner who promoted me or the HR Director is a good approach or would it likely worsen our relations in the future?
I am based in Western Europe (culture might differ from the U.S.).
