I applied to be an associate operations manager at a well known bank. the only company to offer me an interview after applying to 109 other jobs in my area. After months of ai rejection letters they scheduled me a interview for today at 930. When i joined the chat room 15 minutes early and awaited my hiring manager to join, i pulled up my resume and a list of questions i had, and patiently waited for my person. By 10am i assumed they were running behind and sent an email asking if i should stay waiting or assume the interviews were cancelled. By 11 i left, wrote them another email and went back to applying.
I called the bank office who told me they don’t directly hire, the talent managers pick there favorites and let the branch decide the final vote. So much for a “labor shortage”
