Schoolwork is school work not homework.

Back when I was a teenager (1998-2007), I would never do my homework. I would constantly tell the teachers that schoolwork gets done at school, not home. I had a homeroom teacher that caved in for grade 7-8 and would stay after class for 30 minutes for me to finish it, before going home. I remember a project I did in grade 9 where they wanted us to write an essay on a comparison object. Something that is similar to another object and compare the two in an essay. I wrote mine on how schools are similar to prisons. Bars are on the windows, doors are always locked, police bring you back if you leave, violence, teachers tell you where you have to be at what times, and no freedom. I come back to that now with the comparison to work these days. Always a drive to exceed but never time to excel. Always a manipulation to do work on your time. Always a trap of never having enough to go on your own. Almost like having a leash to your employer.

It's interesting to me these days.
