Screw Joann’s. A place that doesn’t care for its employees – between terrible pay & the workload – they don’t deserve your money or time.
As a Manager and veteran of almost 8 years I make $15 an hour. I’ve dealt with multiple “hats” dumped on me through that time and bared it because I truthfully like what I do most days. I get to be busy but not have to deal with customers which can trigger my anxiety/autism. I love my coworkers, especially my night crew family, some of which I text daily outside of work….
I feel like the biggest stake through my heart hit me. They tell us they’re getting rid of the night crew shift (10pm-6am). Now we’d be required to come in and work 9am-5pm.
I had been contemplating applying to somewhere else for a month when we were initially told our shift would change to 4am-12:30pm. Guess that just got pushed up…
Four of the FIVE people on the night crew are talking about putting out applications. Management doesn’t want to change their minds knowing we’re gonna leave. Everything falling onto them includes stocking, planograms, exception counts, audits, returns, unloading trucks….
Don’t support this company that’s just barely treading water at this point ️
