I work at a multibillion-dollar company with thousands of employees.
I got an upper respiratory infection last weekend and saw the doctor who suggested I stay out sick on Monday. the doctor provided a note and I told my acting manager this. nobody likes this guy because he is a bully to his team and a brown noser to everybody else. so he emails me back and tells me to use a personal day for that Monday. I send one back to question that questions what he said because I was sick and shouldn't use a sick day because of that. I hear from teammates days later that he has told them our company doesn't provide sick days.
I never get a response from my email. I put the day in as a sick day. days later when I check my timecard I find out he has changed the day to a vacation day. I've finally had enough and decided to contact h.r.
from when I was hired stuff has majorly gone downhill. I'm just praying that one of my many job applications bears fruit. this has gotten ridiculous I've only gotten more work added to my plate since I got hired and people left or got laid off due to being unhappy with cost-cutting and the direction things are heading. I keep getting told these contracts are good for job security and how much they are worth but never see a penny of that extra money I'm apparently helping to bring in.
