Seeking advice Meeting with CEO/CFO/VP of Finance regarding promotion

Hello Everybody, Before I begin, the full situation is described here https://www.reddit.com/r/Accounting/comments/17lbhq7/seeking_advice_on_what_to_do_tax_manager_leaving/ I am very nervous about this meeting, and honestly not sure what is going to happen. I do know though that this job has given me the mental stability to study and pass the cpa exams. I am pretty sure the company just expects me to take on the work, and be a good little bee but I don't want to be sure I stand up for my self in this meeting. Hello Everybody,

Before I begin, the full situation is described here https://www.reddit.com/r/Accounting/comments/17lbhq7/seeking_advice_on_what_to_do_tax_manager_leaving/

I am very nervous about this meeting, and honestly not sure what is going to happen. I do know though that this job has given me the mental stability to study and pass the cpa exams. I am pretty sure the company just expects me to take on the work, and be a good little bee but I don't want to be sure I stand up for my self in this meeting.

I can't get a good read on any of the higher ups as they all interacted mostly with my previous tax manager.

If I did give notice I can most likely get by financially for 6 months before I found a new job, but this is an absolute last resort option.

Everybody in the company is just telling me to keep my head down, just keep doing what I am doing for the cpa exam. If they don't promote you leave.

My worry is that they won't promote me at all, and they will be expecting me to train the new person (tax manager, director, or VP) and there will be no growth for me here. I don't mind this option but it will be a huge gut punch for me going above and beyond the last 2 years or so (rounded)

any advice on this is very appreciated and will be taken to heart. Also what things to bring up during this meeting will be greatly appreciated.
