Serious question: Beginning to build a team at my company. What do I offer to get the best people and keep them happy?

I’m asking in this sub in particular because if anyone knows how to keep an employee happy it would be the ones who have been slighted the hardest. Obviously respect, living wage, PTO, benefits, health, dental, 401k… but what else can I do for my people to get the best work from them? What can I give to ensure that the people who put their time and effort into this business stay happy? Hiring a remote US team, if that makes a difference.
