(Serious) Why do you work for a $10/hr wage in the USA?

Serious question because I do NOT understand. Why does anyone choose to work for $10/hr when there are thousands of jobs that require no experience and starting pay is $20/hr or more all over the country? The industrial construction business is constantly hiring new people with little to NO experience all over the country. When I hear people complaining about their low paying shit job the first thing I want to know is WHY they are staying at that low paying shit job? Is it just because the work in construction is hard work or what are the actual legit reasons to stay with a job that you hate and pays half what the entry level pay is for construction? You can't smoke weed/use drugs or have a recent criminal record, but that's pretty much the same everywhere. Why aren't more people willing to leave their shitty home town job…
