Service industry experience can translate well into many positions outside of restaurants

I am trying to transition out of the service industry. I have over a decade worth of experience, a lot of that in management. I am frustrated because I feel my resume gets overlooked because it is mainly in restaurants. I have led staff meetings, organized schedules, financial spreadsheets, etc. Why aren't service industry people's experience not taken seriously?? Honeslty, I wish UBI was a thing and I didn't have to think about this shit. I feel disheartened and cast aside when not too long ago, we were viewed as “essential”.
