Back story – been with this company for 9 months now. There was literally no training involved and I had to figure out estimating processes on my own (industrial coating company)
I find out a month ago I need double bypass heart surgery. I’ve kept my employee updated in every step of the process. Monday I asked about work from home options during the few weeks of recovery.
Today (Friday) I was fired.
Reason given: “it’s just not working out”
No performance reviews, no complaints or concerns brought to my attention before this. And as a matter of fact just received a bonus for the amount of estimates I performed last quarter.
Now – no insurance = no heart surgery
No income = need to find a new job = can’t look/start during heart surgery recovery
Was scheduled for June 2nd – so ….yeah
