That is how my company refers to hourly workers. We are just shared resources like reams of paper and can be moved to other buildings whenever management decides. We don't get paid mileage or travel time when we have to go to other offices. This absolutely was not mentioned in the job description, interview or on boarding process. It just feels really demeaning to be called a “shared resource.”
