So back story, I worked in the US before and it sucks ass. Yesterday I went for an interview at a company here for an entry level logistics position.
Firstly the pay varies between 21.50$-29.50$ depending on the time of day I’m working, then theres the benefits and oh boy are they great. 10% matched pension, automatic union upon hiring, 5/6 weeks of vacation, strict 37 hour workweek where you will never be asked to do overtime, a meal plan for 80$ a month where you get 2 meals a day, a masseur 2 times a month for free, a massage chair in the workplace, tons of different private insurances (you name it they cover it), discounts to countless stores across denmark, discounts to the company store as well, and lots of bank holidays off or with a large extra pay bonus (I could be forgetting some perks as there was so many).
When working nearly the same job in the US I was making 11.75$ with no perks at all, not even fucking health insurance. If this isn’t proof that people in the US need to strike and unionize then I don’t know what is.
Thanks for coming to my TED-Talk
