She said – Thank you! The gratitude in her eyes was the brightest i recently ever seen

I was invited by my friend to help her in her business. I was eventually hired into management/consulting role and within 20 days, i reduce the number of office-working hours from 8 to 7 hours per day. and Just yesterday, one of the ladies came to be before leaving and said “thank you”. First of all i did nt realise why is she thanking me. Then she said, “Really thank you for reducing working hours, i have a small daughter, i will now be able to spend more time with her” This was the most gratifying . I am bringing in more positive changes and really improving work culture. And treat human resources as partners and humans and not resources. There are many more changes coming down the lane. And I am planning to design it in such a way where it does nt hurt business but in fact help…

and Just yesterday,
one of the ladies came to be before leaving and said “thank you”.

First of all i did nt realise why is she thanking me.

Then she said,

“Really thank you for reducing working hours, i have a small daughter, i will now be able to spend more time with her”

This was the most gratifying .

I am bringing in more positive changes and really improving work culture. And treat human resources as partners and humans and not resources.

There are many more changes coming down the lane.
And I am planning to design it in such a way where it does nt hurt business but in fact help them grow.

Just wanted to share this with this community which has been a great support in bringing clarity in my thought process. You are all doing a GREAT job!

I really hope that in coming years, such positive work environment prevails and becomes the norm everywhere. I plan to doucment and also make a documentary/film about the whole journey.

I know this is not a huge shift yet. And its a tiny step in that direction.

But before this happened, no one of them believed that this can happen. This is a small town in India. The antiwork concept is unheard of.

I am a foolish optimist. I think if its NEEDED then it CAN and SHOULD be done!

Cheers!
