So over two decades of corporate life I gained enough evidence of those small folks (95% male) acting up to the theory of Napoleon Complex. Find the details here: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Napoleon%20complex
They have more often than not been the ones who put in more effort than expected from their contract, worked more OT without compensation, volunteered for more responsibility and where not only crawling up their superiors ass but defended the entrance.
All of that to promote their own career, ego and financial situation while giving jack shot about their teams or colleagues.
Am I alone with this hypothesis?
