I've been working at a small food restaurant for the past 2 and a half years now. We recently got a new boss a year ago and he has been the worst ever. From ordering people around to do personal errands for him, not keeping health and safety regulations(really, really bad practices), and always arguing with his wife mid service so everyone can hear. Recently he's been giving my coworker and I so much crap and we've been working the longest out of almost everyone there. I had a family problem today which didn't let me come into work and he told me that my hours will be cut going forward and that I don't need to come in anymore. I took that opportunity to say I'm quitting (I had given a notice back in September that I would leave in November) and now I'm just going to go back and grab my stuff. Now he's telling everyone, including his own boss, that I was a terrible worker with bad work ethic, yet everyone I have ever worked with there has appreciated everything I do for the place. Do I just blow up on him tomorrow in person or do I send him an essay long text telling him how horrible of a person he is?
