An old boss just sent me this text:
“Hey how bout you come back and pick up some serving shifts for a while…”
I worked as a cook and a manager (most of the time being a manager) there for about 1.5 years. I quit because he refused to accept my terms of continuing to work.
Basically another manager there who also started as a cook was harassing all the female employees, including myself. He pulled a rag out of my back pocket and rubbed my thigh (to wipe off his hand according to him). Separate occasions which I formally complained about both. He either treated you like dog crap or sexually harassed you. Then he slapped a server on her butt with one of those money booklet things.
I told them he leaves or I do. They just moved him to the food truck instead of firing which still kept me angry but he was at least away from the girls (almost always there was only guys on the food truck). Then they told me he was coming back to help with the busy time to which I said if he works here I don’t. So, they had him work anyway and I quit. Also, besides this he was lazy as hell and never even did anything except for what he absolutely had to do and just sat outside most of the time.
Mainly I just want to leave him on read but part of me also wants to be super petty and tell my old boss a sassy remark.
