Should I report to the union if my employer tells me to clock out 15 minutes early instead of taking a half hour lunch?

To put into context I’m scheduled a six hour shift. In that I’m supposed to take a thirty minute lunch at least. I’ve been told just to clock out early so they don’t have to give me a lunch. Is that legal??? I’m in a union so I’m Not sure what steps to take next.
