Gah, had to call in today because I’m coughing my brains out.
Been going into work sick the past week but this morning I just coughed for 25 mins straight.
Contacted my coworker and they were valid in asking why I didn’t let them know sooner, I contacted them half an hour after my shift started.
Guess I’m not to worried about being fired or reprimanded (I can accept either possibility and move on) but I just have that “I didn’t show up to work” guilt on my mind. I’m just sick and need the day. What a bummer. Not to mention, it’s not like calling in sick really benefits me. 8 hours of pay gone. Feel like I need to justify myself just for being sick.
