Sick with stomach flu after taking a vacation day at new job

Please be gentle, Reddit. It's been a long, rough day for your gal. I started my new job on October 10. It's hybrid so luckily I still get to WFH 3 times a week. I just took a vacation day on Friday to do a 1-day trip to Vegas for an event. I made sure my employer knew about the event during the hiring process. I had a great time but leave it to me to pick up the stomach flu during my excursion. I have been pretty sick all day. I've got all the classic symptoms except for vomiting, thank goodness. I've come close to puking a few times though. My company offers unlimited sick leave but I understand their concerns.…

Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to WFH and my parents (late 60s/early 70s) have been really pushing me to work tomorrow since I just started and took a vacation day. My company offers unlimited sick leave but I understand their concerns.

So, Reddit, what are your opinions on this subject? If I still feel awful in the morning, should I try to suck it up and do my best to get work done or should I use a sick day?

Hope everyone had a nice, illness-free weekend and has a great week ahead.
